Acceptance reflects a state of presence.
Presence reveals the truth of life.
When we refuse to see what is, and only see things as we wish them to be or as we think they should be, we disable ourselves from interacting effectively with life. In such states, we are in states of resistance, stress, and suffering. We think problems are outside of ourselves and we may view ourselves as victims. We relinquish our personal creative power and miss the opportunities to engage with life via effective and empowered action.
Life is here and now in the form that it is. No amount of denial or ignorance will make it any other way. If we are to move forward and liberate ourselves from our own stagnation and suffering, we must accept the truth of what is in this present moment.
