Equanimity: The absence of attachment, aversion and resistance. An internal experience of peace.
Evita Ochel
As each day, week, month, and year progresses, and as you transition from one season to the next, may you be inspired by the timeless wisdom of nature to stay true to and in alignment with your own nature. Nature does not force things to be a certain way, rather, it responds to growth, balance, and harmony. Nature does not have strong attachments or aversions. Rather, it exists in a space of equanimity where all is just as it is.
Here are three tips for life’s transitions, so that all life changes bring out the best in you:
Balance your inner being by embracing the darkness of your own shadow. It is only by embracing it that we can transform it. As long as we ignore or deny it, we remain oblivious to its role in and power over our lives.
Release and let go of all that which no longer serves you, whether it is physical, mental, or emotional baggage.
Remember that change is the most natural thing there is, and the essence that underlies your life, and all life. Resisting it or fighting against change is futile. Instead, find ways to adapt to the new conditions effectively and invest your efforts into creating a future that acknowledges the greater good of all and reflects the kind of world that you would like to see.
Happy equinox!
