No masks are needed when we express the truth of who we are.

Reflection

Each one of us has parts of ourselves that we may not like or ones that sabotage our life, relationships, work, or wellbeing. So we try to bury them, deny them, mask them or ignore them, which only makes them persist, and typically grows their impact.

The only way to heal our wounds and change beliefs and behaviors that are working against us and causing us to be someone who we do not like is to face them. To shine the light on our shadows means to become aware of the roles we play and the masks we wear. Through awareness, we can transform any parts of ourselves that are sabotaging our wellbeing with acceptance, love, and forgiveness. As we do this, we integrate our wholeness and start to make more conscious choices that lead to new actions and outcomes in our lives.
